We put current Omarchy on a new Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, or Asus, turn Secure Boot off the way upstream requires, test every radio, and ship UPS Ground. Manufacturer warranty stays on the chassis.

What Omarchy actually is
Arch
Rolling release, pacman, AUR when you want it. Omarchy sits on Arch; it is not a frozen “Arch-like” image we invented.
Hyprland
A tiling Wayland compositor. Windows share the screen in a grid. Super is the conductor. No start menu, no overlapping piles unless you float a window on purpose.
Quickshell
The Omarchy 4 (Quattro) desktop shell: bar, launcher, menus, and notifications as one themed process. Super + Space is the front door.
Agents
On first boot you pick a default coding agent — Claude, Codex, Grok, Copilot, OpenCode, and others ship as launchers. Crash a process, hand it to the agent.
How you drive it
Omarchy is keyboard-first. The Super key — the Windows key on most laptops we ship — runs the desktop. Learn these four and the machine starts to make sense.

Omarchy is also a distro option on Intel SKUs — not AMD-only, and not AMD-exclusive on product pages. We do not claim per-SKU Omarchy certification. NVIDIA dGPU Ryzen machines (LOQ) can take Omarchy too; they are not AMD-graphics-only.
What is Omarchy on a laptop from us?
Omarchy is an omakase Linux distribution: chef’s choice. DHH (Ruby on Rails, 37signals) picked Arch, Hyprland, and a curated tool set so you skip the year of ricing. Neovim, Chromium, Foot, LibreOffice, Obsidian, Steam, a Windows VM if you still need Outlook — the ISO is a working computer, not a blank prompt. The 4.x “Quattro” line rewrote the shell in Quickshell. Themes restyle the whole desktop at once. Agents are a first-class menu, not a browser tab you forgot to open.
It is not trying to look like Windows or macOS. Windows tile. Super + Space is how you launch things. Config files are text. If that sounds like work, it is — and it is the work this crowd wants. If it does not, Ubuntu LTS is still one checkbox away.
We install current Omarchy at configuration time, leave Secure Boot off, load Hyprland unless you pick another desktop, and make the silicon honest: Wi-Fi, GPU, webcam, Bluetooth, audio, touchscreen. Who should pick something else
- Anyone who wants a start-menu desktop that looks like Windows — that is Linux Mint with Cinnamon, and we install that too.
- A first Linux laptop with no interest in a tiling window manager. Ubuntu LTS with GNOME is still the shop default for a reason.
- Machines that must keep Secure Boot on. Omarchy’s installer expects it off; we leave it off.
How we install it
On the product page, set Linux Distribution to Omarchy. Desktop defaults to Hyprland, which is the Omarchy desktop. GNOME, KDE Plasma, and the rest of our list are there if you insist; the tiling shell and the Omarchy menu are what you came for.
We write the current Omarchy ISO, answer the installer the way upstream documents (full-disk encryption on, Secure Boot off), then ensure compatibility and test the radios on that system. Dual-boot is an add-on: we partition the drive; the BIOS boot menu asks which OS to load. Omarchy 4 also supports a dual-boot install of its own if that is what you want — say so.

What is Omarchy?
Omarchy is an omakase Linux distribution by David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH), built on Arch Linux, the Hyprland tiling compositor, and the Quickshell desktop. It ships a finished, keyboard-first developer desktop with themes, agents, and a curated app set. We install it on name-brand laptops and ensure compatibility and test the radios. We are not Omarchy upstream. See omarchy.org.
Is Omarchy just Arch with a theme?
It is Arch underneath — pacman, rolling packages, AUR if you want it. On top: Hyprland, Quickshell, a theme system that restyles the whole desktop, a menu that installs language stacks, and first-class coding agents. The ISO is the product, not a wallpaper pack.
What desktop does an Omarchy laptop ship with?
Hyprland, unless you pick another desktop on the product page. That is the Omarchy desktop: tiling, Super + Space for the menu, numbered workspaces. GNOME or KDE will boot; they are not the Omarchy experience.
Do you install the official Omarchy ISO?
Yes. Current Omarchy as published at omarchy.org at configuration time. We test Wi-Fi, GPU, audio, webcam, Bluetooth, and touchscreen on that install. For ISO downloads, plugins, the manual, and source, use omarchy.org.
Does Omarchy include AI agents?
Yes. Omarchy treats a coding agent as part of the desktop. On first boot you pick a default — Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Grok, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode, and others are wired as launchers. Local models via Ollama or LM Studio are in the AI menu. We do not sell API keys; you sign into the agent you choose.
Is Secure Boot on or off?
Off, as Omarchy requires. We leave Secure Boot and TPM disabled so the install boots the way upstream documents.
Is Omarchy only available on AMD laptops?
No. Omarchy is a distro option on both AMD and Intel SKUs. It is not AMD-only and not AMD-exclusive on product pages. We do not claim per-SKU Omarchy certification.
Will Wi-Fi and the GPU work on Omarchy?
We test Wi-Fi, GPU, audio, webcam, Bluetooth, and touchscreen on the installed Omarchy system before it ships. If it fails, it does not leave.
Do you build these Omarchy laptops?
No. We source new Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus machines, install Omarchy, and test them. You keep the manufacturer hardware warranty.
Can I dual-boot Omarchy with Windows or Ubuntu?
Yes. Dual-boot is an optional add-on. We partition the drive and the BIOS boot menu asks which OS to load each time the machine starts. Omarchy 4 also has its own dual-boot installer if you want that path — tell us.
Is Omarchy a good first Linux desktop?
For most people, no. It is keyboard-first and tiled. Ubuntu LTS or Linux Mint is the kinder first laptop. Omarchy is for people who already want Omarchy, or who watched the videos and know what Super + Space means. Dual-boot if you need a familiar desktop on the other partition.
