What is Pop!_OS on a laptop from us?
Pop!_OS is the distro System76 ships on their own computers. COSMIC is the desktop they built for 24.04 LTS. People who want Pop already know that. What they often want next is Pop on a Lenovo, a Dell, or an HP they can take in when a hinge fails.
We install current Pop!_OS on the OEM chassis you configure in the shop. We do not sell System76 hardware. We do not claim their firmware work. We put their OS on name-brand machines, test the radios, and stand behind the install.
NVIDIA and AMD laptops get the image that matches the GPU, then we test it. If graphics or Wi-Fi fail, the machine does not ship.

How we install it
On the product page, set Linux Distribution to Pop!_OS. COSMIC is the current desktop; GNOME is there if you want the older session. We install current Pop!_OS at configuration time.
For a discrete GPU, pick a TUF, Victus, Nitro, or G-series chassis if that is what you are here for. We match the image to that GPU and test it.
Same dual-boot add-on as every other distro.
Pick a laptop on the shop. Set Linux Distribution to Pop!_OS. Desktop defaults to COSMIC if you want the usual setup for this distro. A Linux engineer installs, configures, and tests the machine. It ships UPS Ground, typically 3–5 business days, tracking emailed before it leaves.

Do you sell System76 laptops?
No. We source new Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus machines, install Pop!_OS, and test them. You keep that manufacturer’s hardware warranty.
Is this Pop!_OS 24.04 with COSMIC?
Yes. Current Pop!_OS at install time — COSMIC on 24.04 LTS. GNOME if you ask for that session instead.
Will NVIDIA graphics work on Pop!_OS?
We pick the image that matches the GPU and test it. If graphics or Wi-Fi fail, the machine does not ship.
Do you build these Pop!_OS laptops?
No. We install Pop!_OS on new name-brand hardware and test it. You keep the manufacturer hardware warranty.
Can I dual-boot Pop!_OS with Windows?
Yes. Dual-boot is an optional add-on. We partition the drive and the BIOS boot menu asks which OS to load each time the machine starts.
