How we install Linux is the whole product, not a weekend on your kitchen table. You pick a chassis — Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer, or Asus. You pick a distro. If you do not name one, we put Ubuntu LTS and GNOME on the disk, because that is the stack most people can live with on day one. We take the factory Windows image off. We write a current official ISO, not a spin we invented. Drivers go on. Codecs go on. Then an engineer walks the hardware: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam, speakers, the ports you will actually use. If a radio fails, the laptop does not leave the bench. That is not a slogan. That is how the shop is built. You get a Linux engineer’s number, not a ticket queue with a script. Lifetime support for the life of the machine is part of the sale.

We keep 25+ distros on the bench, not a single locked image we would rather you ran. Ubuntu LTS is the default and the honest recommendation if you do not already have a favorite. Omarchy if you want DHH’s Arch + Hyprland desktop. Linux Mint if you want Cinnamon and a start menu that still looks like a computer. Kali if the work is security and you want the tools already on the disk. Fedora, Debian, Arch, and the rest of the serious catalog if you already live there. We do not ship a locked-down image. We put the original distro on the hardware and make the firmware behave. Pick it when you configure the laptop. The machine that arrives is yours, not a white-box remix with our name on the login screen.

The warranty is the manufacturer’s. That sentence is why we sell name-brand chassis. When the software fails, you call us. When the hardware fails, you call the manufacturer like everyone else. Installing Linux does not void that coverage. We do not dress our own repair desk up as an OEM warranty. Linux installed in the USA does not turn a chassis built overseas into American hardware, and we will not pretend it does. We do not manufacture the chassis.
