The Linux Laptop Company
Their kernel. Their repos. Not a white box.
CachyOS is Arch with the performance kernel that community wants: linux-cachyos, packages rebuilt for modern x86-64, Calamares when you do it yourself — or us, when you would rather not. We install it on current Intel and AMD Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, and Asus machines, make firmware and Wi-Fi behave, and ship UPS Ground in 3–5 business days. Manufacturer warranty stays on the chassis.
What is CachyOS on a laptop from us?
CachyOS is an Arch-based rolling distribution built around performance: a tuned kernel, packages compiled for modern x86-64 (v3 and up), LTO, optional schedulers. The Discord and the forums already argue about BORE versus EEVDF. They should not have to argue about a Broadcom card.
We install their current ISO on current name-brand hardware. You get pacman, their repos, their kernel, and a machine that already suspends and associates with Wi-Fi. Linux is installed in the USA at our East Coast shop. When a hinge fails, you call the manufacturer.
Default desktop in that community is KDE Plasma. GNOME, COSMIC, Hyprland-adjacent setups, Xfce, and the rest of our desktop list are available on the product page. If you need a window manager we do not list, call — if we can install it and stand behind the radios, we will.
Who this is for
- CachyOS people who want that kernel on a Lenovo, Dell, or Asus, not a white box
- Arch users who like the CachyOS repos and would rather skip OEM firmware weekend
- Anyone who wants a rolling, fast laptop OS with a warranty that exists in the world
- People comparing CachyOS to Fedora or Bazzite who still want name-brand parts
How we install it
On the product page, set Linux Distribution to CachyOS. KDE Plasma is the usual desktop; GNOME and the others are there. We install current CachyOS at configuration time on the CPU in that chassis.
The catalog is current Intel and AMD notebooks. That matches what CachyOS wants (modern x86-64). If you are looking at an older machine, call first.
Same dual-boot add-on as every other distro: partition the drive, BIOS boot menu, CachyOS on one side.
Pick a laptop on the shop. Set Linux Distribution to CachyOS. Desktop defaults to KDE Plasma if you want the usual setup for this distro. A Linux engineer installs, configures, and tests the machine. It ships UPS Ground, typically 3–5 business days, tracking emailed before it leaves.
Other distros we install
Ubuntu LTS is the shop default. These pages cover the distros people pick on the product page. Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, MX Linux, Solus, Nobara, and LMDE are still available on the product page.

CachyOS laptop FAQs
Do you install current CachyOS with the linux-cachyos kernel?
Yes. Current CachyOS at install time, their kernel, their repos. Pick CachyOS on the product page.
Will my CPU run CachyOS?
CachyOS expects a modern x86-64 (v3). Our current catalog is 2024–2025 Intel and AMD laptops that meet that. Call if you have a specific chassis in mind.
What desktop does a CachyOS laptop ship with?
KDE Plasma unless you pick another desktop on the product page. GNOME, COSMIC, Xfce, MATE, LXQt, and Budgie are listed.
Do you build these CachyOS laptops?
No. We source new Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus machines, install CachyOS, and test them. You keep the manufacturer hardware warranty.
Is CachyOS the same as Arch?
It is Arch-based, with their kernel and rebuilt packages. Plain Arch is also available on the product page if that is what you want.
