Arch Linux laptops, fully configured

A laptop ready to use with Arch Linux installed

The Linux Laptop Company

Arch, already installed. You skip the wiki weekend.

Arch is a rolling system you assemble: pacman, the AUR, a desktop you choose. We install a working Arch on a current Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, or Asus, make firmware and Wi-Fi behave, and ship UPS Ground in 3–5 business days. Manufacturer warranty stays on the machine.

What we install Current Arch Linux. KDE Plasma unless you pick another desktop.
Not a remix pacman, official repos. Manjaro, EndeavourOS, and CachyOS are separate options if that is what you actually want.
Desktop You pick it. KDE Plasma is the usual laptop default; GNOME, Xfce, and others are available on the product page.
The hardware Name-brand OEM. Radios tested. Warranty you can actually use.

What is Arch Linux on a laptop from us?

Arch is the rolling distribution the wiki describes. People in this community already know pacman. They do not need us to explain the AUR. They need a 2025 OEM Wi-Fi card, vendor firmware, and suspend-to-idle to get along on a Sunday. That is the part we sell.

We install a working Arch with the desktop you pick — not a “Arch-like” image, not Manjaro with the name filed off. If you want Manjaro’s installer, EndeavourOS’s closeness to upstream, or CachyOS’s kernel, those are on the product page too.

You keep the manufacturer hardware warranty. When a hinge fails, you call Lenovo or Dell. Same 3–5 day UPS Ground, tracking emailed before it leaves.

Who this is for

  • Arch users who would rather skip OEM firmware weekend
  • People who want pacman and the AUR on a Lenovo, not a white box
  • Anyone comparing Arch to Fedora or NixOS who still wants name-brand parts
  • Rolling-release people who are tired of the hardware, not the distro

How we install it

On the product page, set Linux Distribution to Arch. KDE Plasma is the usual desktop; GNOME and the others are there. We install current Arch at configuration time.

If what you actually want is EndeavourOS, Manjaro, or CachyOS, pick that instead. They are listed separately.

Same dual-boot add-on: partition the drive, BIOS boot menu, Arch on one side.

Pick a laptop on the shop. Set Linux Distribution to Arch. Desktop defaults to KDE Plasma if you want the usual setup for this distro. A Linux engineer installs, configures, and tests the machine. It ships UPS Ground, typically 3–5 business days, tracking emailed before it leaves.

Other distros we install

Ubuntu LTS is the shop default. These pages cover the distros people pick on the product page. Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, MX Linux, Solus, Nobara, and LMDE are still available on the product page.

Arch Linux laptop FAQs

Do you install plain Arch, or an Arch-based remix?

Plain Arch Linux, current at install time, official repos. Manjaro, EndeavourOS, and CachyOS are separate options on the product page.

What desktop does an Arch laptop ship with?

KDE Plasma unless you pick another desktop on the product page. GNOME, Xfce, MATE, LXQt, Cinnamon, COSMIC, and Budgie are listed.

Will Wi-Fi work on Arch from you?

Yes. We test Wi-Fi, GPU, audio, webcam, Bluetooth, and touchscreen on the installed Arch system before it ships. If it fails, it does not leave.

Do you build these Arch laptops?

No. We source new Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus machines, install Arch, and test them. You keep the manufacturer hardware warranty.

Is this the same as CachyOS?

No. CachyOS is Arch-based with their kernel and rebuilt packages. Plain Arch is this page. CachyOS has its own page if that is what you want.

More answers are on the FAQ. How we source and test machines: pre-installed Linux laptops.
