Why Linux
The short version
It is free as in beer and free as in you can see what it is doing. It runs the servers that hold up the internet, the phones in your pocket (Android), and — when someone bothers to make the hardware behave — a perfectly normal laptop on your kitchen table.
We bother. That is the company. This page is about why the OS is worth switching to, whether you have never heard of a “distro” or you have been compiling kernels since Slackware came on floppies.
If you are leaving Windows
Linux Mint and Ubuntu are built so your parents, your students, and you can find the browser, the files, and the Wi-Fi. Big icons. An app store. LibreOffice for the school PDF. You do not need to speak kernel. You need a machine that opens, connects, and stays out of the way.
If you already live here
You can install Debian in your sleep. What you cannot do is make a random 2026 OEM Wi-Fi 7 card, a vendor firmware blob, and suspend-to-idle all get along on a Sunday. That is the part we sell. You pick the distro. We make the silicon honest.
Windows 11, with the marketing peeled off
Windows 11 can still run Excel. It also spends a lot of your CPU, disk, and attention on Microsoft’s other products. Linux does not.

Still need Windows?
Some jobs still have that one Windows-only app. Dual-boot is the quiet way through it — the best of both worlds, without making Windows the whole machine.
Pick it on the laptop you want. We partition the drive, keep Windows on one side, and install Linux on the other. Each time it starts, the BIOS boot menu asks which OS to load. Separate partitions. They do not step on each other. Two Linux distros work the same way.
Most people are surprised how little they miss Windows once the browser, office suite, and their files live on Linux. Until you are sure, you can have both.

The source is public. Millions of people read it, patch it, and argue about it. That is a better security model than “trust the vendor’s closed blob and a yearly license.”
Install it on every machine in the house. Give a USB stick to a student. Nobody is counting seats. That is how a community OS is supposed to work.
Linux runs most of the web, most supercomputers, and Android. The “weird hobby OS” story is twenty years out of date. The laptop is the part that lagged. We fix that part.
Why buy it from us
The OS costs nothing. The afternoon you lose to a firmware bug is not free. Neither is the week you spend learning which ISO loves your Wi-Fi chipset.
We source current Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus hardware, install the distro you want, and do not ship until the radios work. You keep the OEM warranty. You get a Linux engineer’s number. That is the product — not a PDF of install notes.
