We wipe the recovery partition Windows tax, install the distribution you choose, load the desktop environment you want, and make the hardware behave — Wi-Fi chipsets, NVIDIA or AMD graphics, webcams, Bluetooth, audio, touchscreens, fingerprint readers when the kernel allows. You keep the manufacturer’s hardware warranty. If a hinge fails in year one, you go to HP or Dell like anyone else. Name-brand parts. Manufacturer warranty. Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Bazzite, CachyOS, Arch, and the rest of the list. Not a locked vendor image. When a hinge fails in year two, you are talking to Lenovo or Dell. The machine leaves in 3–5 days, not whenever a custom queue clears. Buying a Windows laptop and installing Linux yourself still works. It also still fails in the same places: firmware, Wi-Fi, suspend, the webcam, the touchscreen. We take that work. If it does not work, it does not ship. ## Distributions we install Default is Ubuntu LTS with GNOME. On the product page: Fedora, Bazzite, CachyOS, Linux Mint, Debian, Pop!_OS, EndeavourOS, NixOS, Kali, Arch, Omarchy, Manjaro, Zorin, elementary, openSUSE, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and others. Fedora is Workstation. Bazzite is the desktop image (KDE or GNOME) unless you ask for Steam Gaming Mode. CachyOS is their current ISO on current x86_64 hardware. Not ready to commit 100% to Linux?
