# Fedora laptops, fully configured

The Linux Laptop Company

## Current GNOME. Current kernel. The one developers actually run.

Fedora Workstation is a six-month cadence, a current kernel, Flatpak, and GNOME the way GNOME intends it. We put it on a current Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, or Asus, test every radio, and ship UPS Ground in 3–5 business days. Manufacturer warranty stays with the chassis.

**Edition**Fedora Workstation. Current stable release at install time.

**Desktop**GNOME by default. KDE Plasma and others are available on the product page.

**Cadence**About every six months. Current kernel, current GNOME, dnf and Flatpak.

**The hardware**Name-brand OEM. Wi-Fi guaranteed. Warranty you can actually use.

## What is Fedora on a laptop from us?

Fedora is the community distribution upstream of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Workstation is the edition people put on a laptop: GNOME, Flatpak, dnf, a kernel that is not two years old. It moves every six months. That is the point.

A lot of developers already live here. They do not need us to explain dnf. They need a 2025 OEM Wi-Fi card, vendor firmware, and suspend-to-idle to get along on a Sunday. That is the part we sell.

We install current Fedora Workstation, not a frozen “Fedora-like” image. You pick the desktop. We make the hardware behave — Wi-Fi, GPU, webcam, Bluetooth, audio, touchscreen. If a radio fails, it does not ship.

## Who this is for

- Developers who want Fedora Workstation on a Lenovo, not a science project
- People who like current GNOME and a current kernel, and do not want to fight NVIDIA or Wi-Fi 7 on day one
- Anyone coming from RHEL or CentOS who wants the same family on a laptop they can get serviced
- Fedora people who are tired of the hardware, not the distro

## How we install it

On the product page, set Linux Distribution to Fedora. Desktop defaults to GNOME, which is what Workstation expects. KDE Plasma is there if you want it.

We install the current Fedora Workstation release at the time we configure the machine. You get a working dnf/Flatpak setup and radios that already associate with a normal home router.

Same 3–5 day UPS Ground, tracking emailed before it leaves. Same engineer on the phone: 877-547-3638.

. Set Linux Distribution to **Fedora**. Desktop defaults to GNOME if you want the usual setup for this distro. A Linux engineer installs, configures, and tests the machine. It ships UPS Ground, typically 3–5 business days, tracking emailed before it leaves.

## Other distros we install

Ubuntu LTS is the shop default. These pages cover the distros people pick on the product page. Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, MX Linux, Solus, Nobara, and LMDE are still available on the product page.

## Fedora laptop FAQs

### Which Fedora edition do you install?

Fedora Workstation, current stable release at install time. GNOME is the default desktop. KDE Plasma and other desktops are available on the product page.

### Do I get a normal dnf and Flatpak Workstation, or a locked image?

Normal Fedora Workstation. dnf and Flatpak work the way they do on any Workstation install. We test the radios on that system before it ships.

### Will NVIDIA or AMD graphics work on Fedora?

We test the GPU before the laptop ships. If the graphics stack fails, it does not leave.

### Do you build these Fedora laptops?

No. We source new Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus machines, install Fedora, and test them. You keep the manufacturer hardware warranty.

### Where do you ship from?

The USA . UPS Ground, typically 3–5 business days after we install and test Fedora. Tracking emailed before the box leaves.
